Step 1 (VERY IMPORTANT ⚠️): First, bring 1.2 liters of water to a full boil (100°C). You MUST use boiling water before pouring the sauce into the pot. Then, add 450g of satay sauce paste into the boiling water. ???? This step is critical: The sauce must be cooked with boiling water. After pouring the sauce into the pot, stir continuously until it is fully dissolved. If not stirred properly, the sauce will settle at the bottom and can burn quickly. Additional Tips: 1) Adding crushed peanuts (optional): If you purchased extra crushed peanuts, the cooking method stays the same. Only add the peanuts after the sauce is fully cooked. If the sauce becomes too thick, you can add some water. For one pack (450g sauce), add about 90g–100g crushed peanuts. Adding too much will overpower the sambal flavor ☺️ 2) Save time while cooking: You can cook the sauce while preparing your ingredients at the same time. This way, you won’t waste time or feel bored. In about 30–40 minutes, even if your ingredients aren’t fully ready yet, the sauce will already be done. 3) During cooking: After about 30 minutes, the sauce will start to thicken and may splatter. At this point, cover the pot but leave a small gap to allow steam to escape. 4) If sauce is ready but ingredients aren’t: Turn off the heat and continue preparing your ingredients. 5) Flavor tip: Letting the sauce cool and reheating it later will enhance the flavor. “Cool absorbs flavor, heat releases flavor.” Just like homemade soup: -Soup at noon tastes lighter - Soup in the evening tastes richer and more flavorful Cook until the sauce thickens Video reference: https://youtu.be/PN286PcfKr4
